Current Events, Part Trois

DIdn’t know I was so fluent in French, did ya?

April brings us as close to current as I get and will end this marathon catch-up!

What better way to start your month out than to go to the Easter Pageant!  What began as an Easter sunrise service on top of a cotton wagon in 1928, has now become the largest, annual, outdoor Easter Pageant in the world.  There are approximately 475 cast members and an average attendance on play nights (there are 8) is 7,600. The play, although poignantly depicting the crucifixtion, is a celebration of the resurrection of the Savior.  It is wonderful!!

And then, closely following that, is coloring Easter eggs!!

We celebrated Hunter’s birthday early because his baby sister was due around his actual birthday.  What kid minds if he get early birthday presents?  We ate pizza, whacked a piñata, ate cake, opened presents and went to the pool for a little swimming.  Great birthday party in my book!

We spent Easter afternoon and evening with Mom – playing dominoes.  She got trays to hold the dominoes and had never tried them out yet.  I think we all agreed it was nice not having your dominoes falling all over the place!  If you look at the faces, you can see we take our dominoes seriously!!

This is the best picture from the Easter weekend – and I didn’t even take it!!

Spent a Saturday morning with some sick little girls – so sad when little ones don’t feel well.

And then……the BEST part about April…Raelynn came!!!

I love baby toes!!

And I love newborn babes!!

April also brought Honor Court for Bremen!!  He cleaned up on badges and rank advancement!!  Dad also got to be here for it – YAY!!

Woo-Hoo!!!  I got to watch Raelyn!!!  And Hunter!!!  Did a little homework with the Hunter dude and held the sweet pea Raelynn!!

And April ended on a good note – a band concert note!  Ryan’s spring concert was fun – he plays percussion and getting a good picture of him on any of the instruments in the back is challenging!!

And, with that, we are as up-to-date, current, in the here-and-now, going moment to moment as we are going to get….until I fall behind again! ; )
