December Wrap-Up

Continuing with our December festivities, where is a good place to take active boys?  Gameworks.  For that matter, it's a good place to take active girls, too!

We went to visit Grandmother.  And you can't come for a visit without having your picture taken with Grandmother - she sees these guys so seldom we take our photos every chance we get!

It was fun to see the boys get a kick out of riding the lawnmower with Papa.

Meanwhile, Sofia swings!








And...she redecorates my Christmas tree.  (This is why I have a kid-friendly tree!)






December is done.  Next post - January activity!!

Another Big Christmas Present...

....came on December 27th!  And it was too big to fit under the tree!!

Jon, Logan, and Lexi made the trip to Arizona!! Woo-Hoo!!!  The kids had such a good time together, and you can see they bonded quickly!  Logan and Bremen spoke a "DS" language I didn't understand.  Lexi loved Sofia and I think Sofia was pretty taken with Lexi, too.

We did some things...like make grapefruit and tangelo juice.  We did this a couple of times - give them fruit and a juicer and they were entertained for quite a while!

AND...we went to the Arizona Museum for Youth in Mesa.  Great place to spend some time.

There was a cool black light room.







The Art of Warner Bros. Cartoons was a fun exhibit.  You could dress up, or not, and be on TV!

And, you could make your own cartoon by positioning the charactes and taking snapshots of each setting!

Sofia was having fun and it was hard to get a picture of her standing still!









We left and headed to Joe's BBQ.  On the way, look what I saw - the Lambson "tongue of concentration" showed up!  She was playing her DS and was really into it!





After a day filled with excitement, fun in the bathtub with your cousin is great way to end the day!

It Was Like a Dream...

After 13 months of being here on earth, we finally get to meet our youngest grandchild!!  On December 23, 2011, at approximately 7:30 p.m., we got our first glimpse of Sofia!!

Going home she seemed just fine.

When we got home, she started getting used to her surroundings and to us.

I do believe she remembered Bremen!!

Then, the very next morning she was thrust right into the big family gathering!!  She did just fine and, in fact, warmed up to Aunt Wendy very well!

If this large group didn't scare her, she's good to go anywhere!

She liked opening presents!

But she REALLY liked playing in wrapping paper and tissue!!

Sofia is a cutie-patootie - hard to believe she's really here and it's not just a dream!!!
