How Do You Eat an Elephant?

One bite at a time.  That's how we're going to get back to more current happenings here!  One bite at a time!

Here's bite one - and I make no promises that things will be in perfect chronological order, just that I'll do the best I can....

Know what happens on Jon's birthday?  We celebrate Patrick's Half-Birthday!  Ok, we aren't really that mean - if Jon would have come down we'd have fixed him dinner and let him blow out the birthday cookies!!

Bremen entered the world of Webelos!!  It was fun to watch him receive it and he got to participate in the Arrow of Light ceremony for another boy in his pack!  Hunter sure was paying attention - won't be long before he's a cub scout!

Dave and Terry took a little trip to the Oregon coast to visit brother Gail and get some fishing time.  The fishing trip didn't bring much in the catch department but they had fun and want to go again.  Love they got to spend that time together!!

We were so happy to have some Sofia time!  She loves Bremen so much and it was fun to watch him be big brother!

Sofia loved playing Barbies.....

...and Sofia loved to clean!!!  THAT was fun AND useful!!

And another thing I loved was this....

I think she kind of likes her Papa!!

Sofia had to go back home right before her birthday, so we had a little party to celebrate!

We had fun while she was here!

The problem is she isn't here often enough!!

In the middle of her visit Dave and I had to head up north for a few days - he got drawn for deer and you don't waste a deer tag if you can possibly help it!!

Here's what Cathi and I did...

...and we did bring our computers...

...but first Cathi got sick and then I got sick, so we really didn't have a lot of fun and games on this trip.

But the guys were healthy and fueled up each morning before heading out in the wild.

There was a time or two when a mid-day nap occurred!

In the end, we went home with no meat for the freezer.  (Not that I was that sad about that...)

Halloween was celebrated in between all the playing and hunting.  We had some cute kiddos in costume!!

Ok, Kenna isn't in costume, but she IS cute!!

Well, we've started chewing on that elephant and we'll get that thing nibbled down after several more posts!!  This is all for now!
