Seriously. Yesterday, we had gone to Lowes and we were supposed to be heading to the store. Dave wanted to "run by" and see what they had on the lot. I take part of the blame here. The deals have been phenomenal and we were going to need a truck soon anyway. It has been said by me many times over the past few months - "if someone had the money, now would be the time to get a smokin' deal." Well, apparently Dave DOES listen to what I'm saying. Who knew.
Anyway, we get to the lot, look around and find this big blue beauty sitting there. Now, in our previous discussions of what we'd get if we could pick anything we wanted, blue was like number 4 on my list of colors. Red was "forget it - I'll drive the green Dakota 'til there's nothing' left!" White was "we already have a white car, let's get something different." The top choices were mineral gray, black and tan. Well, they had a black one. So black even the grill was black. That was unattractive. It was a V6 - unattractive to Dave. So, that left majorly loaded red at a little higher price than we wanted to spend (whew - I lucked out!), white and our blue beauty. So, we drove it and haggled. Well, as much haggling as Dave will do - he told the guy after the second "come back" that he was done, here was what he'd pay and if you can't do it, we're outta here! Guess you can tell who won that one.
This is a great truck that we got for about 40 pecent off the price. It is more loaded that we even knew. I'm not kidding. We were driving down the road today and I asked what this one button did. I assumed it was a latched hide a key tray or something. Dave didn't know and pushed the button and the back window slides open. Yup, we got ourselves an automatic back door slider! That and a readout that tells us what our last jaunt took in miles per gallon, how many miles we have left before we have to get gas, the direction we're headed, etc. Seriously loaded.
Oh, and we did make it to the grocery store today. Didn't get as much as we would have yesterday!

VERY nice. Sounds like you have been busy. Are you enjoying driving it around?
I saw it and wondered...I love it! And great for pulling boats and trailers :)
I saw that at your house yesterday and I told Brian that David got himself a new toy. I know Blue wasn't your first choice but I think it's gorgeous. I am all about getting a great deal, and it sounds like you got one.
Yeah! it is beautiful!!! How have you been? I am going to be posting our new family photos sometime in the next few days (hopefully!)! Sasha is getting so big! I love you!
