Babysitting? No Problem!

All you do is stick 'em in the high chair and turn on Sponge Bob!!

OK - that's not exactly how it went. Yes, he watched Sponge Bob - for 10 seconds. Sorry all you Sponge Bob lovers - Jack's not there yet! What we did do was spend time reading books, playing under the table, crawling through the chute (and all over the house), sharpening teeth on just about every surface and working on his laptop (they buy them for the younger crowd these days, don't you know.) All right - his laptop is a toy - but he sure likes it!

I don't know about Jack, but Grammie and Papa sure had fun!!

And the icing on the cake - Jack went to sleep with no major problems!! Yeah!!!!

3-D Fun

Caitlin and I are decked out in our 3-D glasses watching Journey to the Center of the Earth. It was a good movie - kinda scary in some parts. But only because of the 3-D effect. A couple of times both of us about jumped out of our seat. I guess if you're not too sensitive to the 3-D images (like Marcy), it won't mess with your head. I've always been very susceptible to the effects of 3-D images - the rides at Universal Studios might as well have been real - I reacted just like they were!!! So, if you want a good PG adventure movie strictly for the kids, see Journey to the Center of the Earth - but make sure you see it in 3-D!!

Guess Who!

Ok, can you guess who this is?? Those of you who know where I went Saturday, please refrain from letting the others guess. Besides being a beautiful baby with an amazing head of hair, this little person is also related to most of you who read this!

OK - yes, it's little Aurora Dawn! Erik and Amelia have a gorgeous little girl with this amazing hair! This picture does not do her justice - she really is a pretty baby! She wins the prize in the Lambson family "amount of hair at birth" contest! Yup, that includes Ryan's babies and Stacy's babies - you have got to see this baby to fully understand the amount and length of her hair! As Amelia said, if she was a boy she'd be needing a haircut quick!

GA's Anonymous

Hello, my name is Laura and I'm a Grey's Anatomy-Aholic! I have watched this show from the very beginning and have missed very few episodes. It is the one show I TRY to schedule things around - doesn't always work, but I try. Does that mean there's hope for me? Does that mean I may not be a total GA-Aholic? See, there I go with the denial. No, I am a GA-Aholic and it has never been more clear than in the past several weeks. I thought I was OK until the next season started, but then Marcy needed to get caught up while in the states. So, she started renting Season 3 to watch all the episodes. And as she watched, I watched. I think I became as invested in the plot as she was, if not more, and I had already seen this season!! As we finished the first disc, she went and rented the next. It soon became ME that was hurrying back to get the next disc so we could get our fix of Meredith, Derrick, Christina, Izzie, George and Alex. So, without placing blame on Marcy for bringing the temptation into the house, after all I willingly went and brought it into the house as well, I acknowledge that I am a GA-Aholic. But that's as far as it goes - I have NO intention of quitting any time soon!!

Jack Be Nimble, Jack Be Quick!

If you have any doubt whether crawling can hamper a baby's ability to get anywhere fast, just watch Jack - Jack be quick!!

Jack had a lot of fun chasing Bremen - or Bremen had a lot of fun running from Jack. Not sure which one had the most fun!

I Told You So...

Those are words most people don't like to hear. But, sometimes they are the only words that convey adequately your feelings. This past weekend we went camping with our friends, Yoshi and Nancy. We left Friday and headed up to the Willow Springs Lake area. A lot of planning went into this trip, menus were developed, games gathered, times discussed, etc. As we neared the departure date, I was worried about the weather. After all, monsoon season has arrived! I guess I expressed my worries too many times - Dave actually accused me of praying for rain!! Well, Friday evening was fine - it rained Friday afternoon on the way up to camp, but the evening was fine. Saturday morning was great - Dave and Yoshi fished early Saturday morning while Nancy and I enjoyed nature and naps! But, at noon things turned ugly. Here's a little project Dave and Yoshi worked on...

Yup, it was raining so hard they needed to dig trenches to divert the water away from the tents!

Saturday afternoon rains lead into Saturday evening rains. We were doing our best to have a good time! We played many games of Farkel - first time for Yoshi and he won a lot!

Then Sunday morning came and the rains were not leaving anytime soon. So, we pack up to head out.

As we drag our soggy bodies out of the rainy area of the rim country, I look at the horizon and this is what I see...

At that point, I can't help but say...I told you so!

Thank You....I Think...

Here's what Bremen brought me back from his trip to Georgia.

Now that I have your attention, let me tell you - I could have lived in prehistoric times if this is a representative sample of all dino poop! It is nuts, individually covered with a thin praline coating, then covered in chocolate and finally dusted in powdered sugar!! Yum doesn't even begin to describe it!!!

So, Bremen, thank you....I think.

Behind Bars!!

BarCODES, that is! I've been working on a project for my sister-in-law that has turned into the project from H-E-double hockey sticks!! This is what I've been looking at for the past two weeks--cards, by the hundreds, probably thousands, and BARCODES!!! There are Christmas cards, Thanksgiving cards, Halloween cards, Mother's Day cards, Birthday cards, cards because you're sick, cards because we're sorry, cards because...well, just because!! Each card has at least 6 barcode stickers that have to be attached. I'm about barcoded out.

I'll be glad when this project is done and the cards are off to the LA Market for the show - I've seen enough of them! If I don't recover from card overload, I may not send out Christmas cards this year. Just a heads-up - in case you don't get a card from me, you'll know why.
