Hunter learned how to ride a bike! It is so fun having them back in Arizona and being able to share the joy of milestones in the boys' lives.
It's also fun having family on the street to help celebrate these milestones!
Just have to share some cute Mother’s Day gifts from
talented kids and grandkids.
How about this cute poster that had Happy Mother’s Day on it with
lots of pictures. The 3-year old
granddaughter put all the pictures on
herself - hence the covered up “Day!”
So creative – loved this plaque!
Then comes Bremen’s birthday. This year he didn’t have a “family” party, just invited some friends in the area to come to a Science Birthday Party! It was so cute!
Throw in a little time spent with these girlies – always fun!
First of June brought Trek for the Chandler West Stake
Youth! Here’s the gang at 5:30 am
getting ready to head up to the woods for a couple days of walking and pushing/pulling
handcarts loaded with gear. And did I
mention they could not take any technology with them? Every teenager’s dream of a good time,
no? It was a great spiritual experience
for them and I was so happy with the enthusiasm they showed!
I went up on Friday afternoon to provide a little service –
hair washing! Several of the Young Women
leaders went up and washed hair for anybody who wanted to feel a little
refreshed. It was surprising to me how many of the boys and even leaders took
advantage of our time there! If you look
really close, you’ll see Dave sitting on the tailgate of the truck. Even he had to dress in pioneer clothing to
go! And no, there is no picture of me in
my pioneer dress! Ha!
After Trek, and before Girls Camp began, we headed to
Idaho. We still stopped in Utah on the
way up, but this time Tom Boddet left the light on instead of Patrick!
We had fun in Idaho, as usual. Papa is so proud of Logan and his
accuracy. He hits that target very well!
After heading to the pool one morning, we were met with the
dreaded sign that the pool was closed because someone had done a #2 in the pool
the previous day. The pool has to be
closed for 24 hours after taking care of the problem. So….Lexi improvised. If you want to cool off, fill a tub with
water!
Logan and my other grandson, Charlie, were content to play
video games. (OK, Charlie isn’t really
my grandson, but I see him almost as much as Logan when we are there!)
After a week in Idaho, we took a trip to Oregon to see Gail,
Seth, Heather, Drennan, Mikayla, Amara, Tim, Becca, Mel, Val, Micah, Ryan, Cheryl,
Luke, Asha and Chloe. It was a short
trip but oh so good! There are so many
good pictures that it is so hard to decide which ones to share. It was wonderful to be with Logan and Lexi
the first time they experienced the ocean.
And I loved seeing Gail and his family.
Oh, I just can’t pick. Here are
just a few…
Got back to Idaho just in time to do fireworks!
We also did some craft projects and we practiced our art skills!
Then we come home and spend some more time with these cutie
patooties!
Notice how Papa babysits?
We took a quick trip up north to get out of the heat for a
couple of days. It was a slow paced
trip, as evidenced by the prone position both Terry and Dave were in! I think I woke Dave up taking the picture!
And the beginning of September was ushered in by Cameron’s 3rd
birthday party!! Messy is Fun was the
theme – shaving cream, cooked spaghetti in a kiddie pool, water balloons,
painting with paint popsicles – it was so much fun for the kids!
I thought I taught him better….Patrick is taking aim at his
mother-in-law!!
