This time we were on the building end of things for the Pinewood Derby! Bremen's Derby was March 3rd and we were privileged to help him with his car. He and Papa spent some time in the "knife making" workshop with the saws and sanders.
Then the hand sanding and shaping began.
Grammie and Mom helped, too! We just don't have pictures of that part of the process. Marcy did a fantastic job making the car look like a fire-breathing dragon's head! Look closely in the pictures because, for whatever reason, I didn't take a picture of the finished car! I was too excited for the race to begin and forgot all about it! Here's Papa and Bremen making a last minute graphite adjustment.
Here we go - Bremen's on deck!
Putting the car on carefully - got to make sure it's on straight.
Waiting patiently at the end of the track for the race to start!
Yes, his car is one of the blurs!
While we didn't win, we weren't last all the time - we'll take it and be happy!! Besides, the fun part is getting ready for the Derby, isn't it?

This is a test.
Awesome. I bet Dave and Bremen had a good time making that car!
