LOGAN + LEXI = FUN!!

It's always "play time" when we're in Idaho. One of the activities we always engage in (besides Playdough!) is painting rocks. We started doing that years ago and Logan was ever so prepared this time. He already had a collection of rocks ready to be painted!

Whenever it came time to cook anything, Logan was always ready to help. He did a fine job of helping make deviled eggs.

Lexi loves having books read to her. She will go get all of her books and sit there while you read all of them! Several of her books are the kind that are "singing" books. There are the lyrics with a picture that indicates which button to push for the music. Well, Momma does well, Daddy does OK, Grammie does OK, but Papa?? He would rather read an entire set encylopedia books to her before he'll sing to her!!

And, of course, Lexi got in on the Playdough action! Logan had been playing for quite a long time before Lexi started, so he had a bunch of "food" already made. The video shows that she knows she has some catching up to do! She was a little late for the party (she had to have her beauty rest nap!), but she still got to have fun.

And what better fun can a girl have than getting all glammed up? Well, maybe it's more fun when DAD get's all glammed up!!

Yup, they just make it too much fun to stay away for very long!!

Home, Sweet, Home?

Well, we're back. We had a lot of fun and can't wait to hit the road north again very soon. One of these days they may learn that if they didn't make it so fun to visit, we might not go as often! Here, for your viewing pleasure, are the highlights of our trip.

We got to visit with the Jon, Jamie, Logan and Lexi.

Papa got to get Lexi her very first ice cream cone!

Of course, Logan and I played with Playdough!

It snowed on us - both in Idaho and in Utah!

We got to have a lot of fun with Patrick and Heather. Dave even played a word game (so not like him!) and he actually had fun! Of course it didn't hurt that he won.

You'll see more pictures as the days go by. There are just too many to put in one post. We may even throw in a picture or two of our "home, sweet home" to which we returned. Those darn remodeling elves didn't do their job while we were away!!

Hasta la Vista!

Well, we're outta here for a while. It's time to hit the road north. Utah and Idaho are calling our names - well, I guess to be fair Logan and Lexi are calling our names and Patrick and Heather are in the line of fire by living in Utah. (We like to THINK they want us to come visit - let's not ask them and risk bursting our bubble, OK?)

So you are not left wondering - NO - we have not completed our work on the house. Lucky for us we don't have anyone at home that cares if we just up and lock the door on the mess for several weeks! Here's some highlights of the completed project. (My loving husband took these pictures while I was away and doesn't understand that you should stage pictures a little better. I would have put the dishes away before taking the pictures and avoided the water bottles that are filled for Cathi to water plants with, but oh well.)

The pull-out shelf I love! Dave made that for me himself - welded the entire shelf unit and put it in what used to be the broom closet!

One of the undone things is furniture arrangement - that will happen when we get back and get new carpet in (not over the new floor - in the living room!). Until then, the TV stand gets to sit on the blanket so it doesn't scratch the floor!

See ya'll later!!
