CHRISTMAS!!

No, I’m not getting a jump on 2010 . I’m behind on 2009! (See, Kim. You aren’t the only one!) I just couldn’t move on without sharing a few pictures of our Christmas with the kids. Christmas morning was so much fun watching Hunter, Lexi and Logan open their gifts.

Logan and Lexi checking out the haul from their stockings!

Hunter enjoyed checking out their loot!

Lexi with the blanket Great Grandmother Lambson sent her.

Lexi was thrilled with animal crackers!! (Man, we could have saved some money!)

Hunter got camo dishes…guess who from?

(The clue is on his bib!)

Logan is reading a note Santa left on the Pictureka game. Santa told him it was for him and for Grammie!!

This was Patrick’s expression upon hearing Santa did not leave him anything under the tree!!

Silly boy, this was his present!!!

Logan is showing off the knife Papa made for him. (Hey, Jon and Patrick got one – couldn’t leave Logan out.)

And some of the greatest fun was watching everyone play the family present the Idaho Lambson’s received – the Wii. It was more fun watching the action IN the room than on the TV!!

It was a great time and playing with Hunter was fun for everyone – Lexi just wanted to make sure that when her Daddy was playing with Hunter that she was never far away!!

And to end, I’ll leave you with a few more cute pictures of Hunter. Here he is learning the art of giving Mom a back rub. Heather is wise to train them young!!

And this picture of Hunter and Papa – no, Papa didn’t give him the dorky hat to wear – his Dad did!!

A Travel Collage

Most of you know we spent the holiday season elsewhere this year. It’s the first time Dave and I have gone away for Christmas. While it was different, it was also very nice. It was fun being in a home again where there are little ones excited about Christmas morning (even if one of the little ones only wanted the wrapping paper and bows!).

Our trip started with some time in Utah with Hunter (and his Mom and Dad). We also finished our trip with a short visit with Hunter at his house! In between we were in Idaho with Logan and Lexi (and their Mom and Dad). AND, BONUS…Hunter came to Idaho for Christmas (with his Mom and Dad). During our time with him…

he learned how to really crawl all over the place, especially when such temptations are put in your path,

that being distracted while eating gives you a messy face,

and he learned how to play cards!!!

While we were in Utah, I was lucky to see my new great-nephew, Elaine’s grandson, Brayden, before his Mommy and Daddy moved him to Indiana. They left Utah 3 days after we got there – good timing on my part!! He’s so precious and already has his GramE wrapped around his little finger!

We arrived in Idaho just in time to go to Logan’s school Christmas program. The pictures didn’t turn out great – mainly because the music teacher was always right in front of Logan whenever we tried to take video or a picture! I was pleasantly surprised at the great Christmas songs they sang. It was as if all the years of the ACLU complaining about religion in schools hadn’t even happened! Bravo Desert Sage Elementary!!

The first few days we were in Idaho, Bremen was there as well. We took the kids driving around looking at Christmas lights. That was a blast. We were singing all the caroling songs, but Lexi really liked “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” I tried to video that, but the lighting wouldn’t let me record properly. The conversation that took place about the moose was great. One yard had a moose decoration, unlike the majority of yards with reindeer. Lexi went on forever about how she didn’t like “mooses” and how she was afraid of “mooses.” Personally, I think she just liked saying the word “mooses!”

We also decorated sugar cookies. Like the masterpieces Logan and Bremen created? (Uh, maybe I should say “Bremen and his Mom” created – think she helped some!)

The normal Idaho activities were enjoyed, such as going to the library, playing games, playdough, and making clay creations.

Some of our hard work was enjoyed by others since we made Christmas presents as part of our fun. Logan made a basketball ornament for his Dad for Christmas!

We were “blessed” with snow while we were in Idaho. I say “blessed” because every prayer Logan says includes a plea for lots of snow!

It IS pretty to look at and somewhat fun to walk around in, but living in it year after year is not something I think I want to ever do again!

This post is long, so I”ll do a part two soon!! Until then….

Wanna See Another Beautiful Picture?

Look here:

I'm playing a little bit of "catch up" on the blog. Before we headed out on our holiday trip, we were able to see Kailee make her debut as a SVJH cheerleader! (Shane's sister, Kayla, could probably be a great source of encouragement - she can be seen on the court during Suns games cheering them on!) She did an outstanding job and I can't wait to get back to the regular game schedule. Hopefully I'll get better at capturing action shots!! Here's a little of what I was able to get:
