Papa Sure is Proud!!

If you can't guess why, take a look at this!

Logan caught this fish all by himself!!

While we were in Idaho, Logan was really wanting Papa to take him fishing. They had talked about it a lot during our last trip in March. So, Logan was ready to hit the water when we got to Idaho for summer vacation. Papa took him to a pond where Logan caught several bluegills. Logan came home and announced he caught fish, but "Papa caught zero!" Here is one of Logan's catch at the pond.

When they headed out for the big fishing trip to Lowell Lake, we were hoping and praying Logan would have a great experience. Didn't need to worry. According to Papa, Logan can fish! He can cast and he can reel them in. Looks like Papa is going to have some competition in the fishing department!

Just a Swingin'!!

One beautiful thing about Idaho - its lush, green parks. Logan and Lexi both love going to the park and swinging is one of their favorites! Getting them off the swings is not easy. At one point, Papa said to Logan "guess we'll just go and leave Lexi on the swings." Logan said "No, we can't leave her here - Mom and Dad would be really mad." Need to work on teaching him when Papa is kidding! On the bright side - he still loves his sister enough to not want to leave her just any old place!

Lexi absolutely loved swinging - and the higher the better. Grammie was not taking risks and only pushed her high enough to get some giggles out of her. Papa, on the other hand, gave her some thrills and pushed her pretty high!

One day at the park, Logan was messing around and swinging on the swings for little kids. A lady walked up with her dachshund and proceeded to take her hat off, place it in the seat of a swing and lifted her dog into the swing. Then she pushed the dog in the swing! Pretty high for a dog, I might add. Logan seriously did not know what to think of this! Of course the lady talked to us -she told us she brings her dog every day to the park about the same time. She tried to engage Logan in conversation about the dog, but he would have none of it! One of the strangest things I've ever seen!!

Going to the park with these two is a lot of fun. Maybe I'll save some of our park pictures for later. So, I'll leave you for now with a couple of slide shots. Aren't they adorable?!?

4th of July - WITH FIREWORKS!!

It's been a very long time since I've done fireworks on the 4th. My "dangerous" firework of choice was always sparklers - my father instilled a fear of fireworks in me. And wouldn't you know, the big fireworks warehouse we went to was all OUT of sparklers!! But, never fear - Logan and I got a bunch of snakes!! Those are his favorite - they don't make noise, they don't shoot at you and you can smash 'em when they're done burning!

If you've seen Jamie's post, you know Lexi was not liking the fireworks. She started out with Papa - looking very worried - and ended up with Dad and asking to go to bed!

This is a distorted picture, but for some reason I like it!

We enjoyed some great fireworks! Between all the neighbors and the stuff we bought, we had quite a show! Enjoy it!!

I'M BAA-AACK!!

I'm like that piece of gum that you get stuck on the bottom of your shoe. You can't get rid of me that easily!

While it may seem as though I abandoned the blogging world, I was only making the now familiar Utah/Idaho run. Hunter really needed to see me. Logan and Lexi really needed to see me. (OK - I really needed to see THEM.) Lots of fun times were had by all! It would bore you to tears if I put all the pictures in one post. So, for the next week or so I'll try to do daily installments so I can give you the opportunity to see my beautiful grandchildren! (Aren't you lucky!!)

Our show-starter is the one, the only, the cutest little baby - Hunter!!

He is such a fun little guy. He IS particular about certain things - the way he's comforted, going from not hungry to FEED ME NOW in 2 seconds, etc. - but those are endearing little pieces of his personality. We were so happy to be able to babysit him while Mom and Dad went to the temple. Me particularly because I got to hold him the ENTIRE time they were gone. (Hey, don't judge me - you'd hold him that long, too, if you had the chance!)

I'm going to be in Hunter-withdrawal for a while. It could be months before I see him again. I say "could" because you never know - the urge may be too strong and I may have to head up for a quick "fix!" (Shhhh - keep that between you and me - if Patrick and Heather hear, they may pull the drapes and bolt the doors!! They've had a lot of company in the last couple of months!)
