What's Been Going On?

Well, a lot of time has been spent on the floor. By me. Nobody else. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! It's painfully slow doing what I'm doing. Which is - restaining my grout. (Should have just used Tricia's magic stuff and cleaned it!) But, I wanted a darker color on the grout line so I'm paying the price. I think in the end I'm going to like it.

Here's what it is now.

Here's what some I've stained.

And here's the contrast between what it is, what it's going to be and the kitchen rug.

While I've been doing that, Dave's continuing his knife-making adventure. He's doing a wonderful job. He and Terry have some beautiful knives and are developing a website. It's not up yet, but keep watching lambsonknives.com and soon you'll see all their hard work. Until then, here's a taste of what Dave's been up to.

To keep me sane during the floor process, here's what I've been doing on my breaks....

Cathi and I have been Farmtown addicts - it's a "get away"game on Facebook and we have fun working each other's farm. And, I've got two Scrabble games going - one with Elaine and one with Cathi. When I did the Facebook thing I wasn't sure about it - seemed too much trouble to be bothered with. I have, however, changed my mind - any system that let's you play Scrabble with your sister almost 1,000 miles away is great!! The sad part of it, though, is Cathi and I will sit across the table from each other playing Scrabble on the computer. How lame is that!

Gotta go back to the floor - if you need me, don't call me. I probably won't get up to answer the phone!

Beautiful

I haven't posted in a week, lots going on - but I felt like this should be my post for the week. Dave and I went to the Mesa Temple this morning for a service project. We worked on the grounds and pulled a lot of weeds. It was an early morning, but a beautiful morning. The temple is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful and the people working there today were beautiful. What a way to start your morning!!

Life's on Fast Forward!!

Seems as though the past 5 or 6 days have been jam-packed with activity and set on fast forward! Three neat things worthy of a post happened Saturday. In order of their time of day, not by importance, are the top 3 picks for Saturday

1. We had a Stake Activity for all 11-year old girls. We were introducing them to Young Women's. "Daughter of a King" was our theme with castle decoration and princess attire for the Stake Presidency. And, yes, I took the pictures - that's why you AREN'T seeing me dressed up as a princess!!! Here are Her Majesty Vonnie, Lady Lisa and Lady Nancy!

2. It was Caitlin's birthday Saturday and we got to go wish her a happy 10th birthday!!

3. We got to spend time with Jack. Here he is at the restaurant sucking a lemon!!
